Better Late Than Never

Sorry it has been a few months. I'm running behind on getting to the blog.  For some reason, I have something else that consumes my free time.  Time with our boys has been such a wonderful way to spend our days, evenings and nights.  Jayden is adjusting so well to being a big brother and Micah adores him.  Every morning when Micah wakes, he gets pretty excited for his daily greeting "Hi Micah" from his big brother.  Jayden can get Micah smiling so big and they just love to chat away to one another.  The joys of brotherhood.

Fun day sledding before all the snow melted.

We took a hike at 1000 Island Nature Center and had a blast.  Little guy slept.

Bike Wash anyone?  Never thought the kids would have so much fun, but it was the hit of the neighborhood.  Let's just say that we get told "I think my bike is dirty and needs a washing" more often since our first bike wash.
Fun day at the farm perfecting his shot.
Cuteness.
Out for a walk.

Family day at Heckrod Nature Preserve.  We had a lot of fun hiking and enjoying the nice weather.
Fun day at the park with my boys.

Planting jelly beans for suckers.  Love that Jayden likes to still do this fun stuff with me.
Nature Rangers.  Maple syrup.  Yumm!

We sure love to explore as a family and go on adventures.  We took Jayden's best friend Beck with us.  Such a fun day at the Paper Discovery Museum and checking out the Fox River.

Dying eggs with family.

Micah's 1st Easter.  He did pretty good.  Sure didn't get too many pictures, but we had fun.
Jayden has such a sweet heart.  This little bird had hit the window so we headed outside to check on it.  With gloves, I picked it up and put it in the tree where Jayden wanted it, where it would be safe from all the other animals.  Love this kid!
Great place to have an after school snack with the neighbor boys.

Jayden was picked to have his poem published in a book.  Pretty excited kid.
Micah just wasn't having it when Gabbi wanted to hold him.

Fun time with Auntie
Claudia thinks Micah is her baby.  She loves him to pieces and won't let him get anywhere without a few kisses and head taps.
Gerber baby?

Brothers
We had to have a lunch visit at school.  Auntie M (Jayden's 2nd grade teacher), just loves this little guy.

A surprise visit from Auntie!
I had my first stretch of night shift since being back to work.  Here is the look I got as I was leaving.  Pretty sure Micah was thinking "were are you going mommy, don't take my boobs away".
Jayden has been really getting excited for the nice weather to be here.  The bikes and scooters have been out pretty much every day.  So much Jayden's bike needed a replacement, which he was so lucky to get as an early birthday present.
We were pretty excited to go check out the Sturgeon spawn on the Winnebago water way.  We didn't see much (only 3 little ones) since we made it on the last day of the spawn.  So here are the guys (Micah sort of included) in front of the big sturgeon at the park. (At least we see a "big" one).
Our sweet boy (looking like a sweet garden gnome).

Learning to play with his toys.

Hoping everyone has a wonderful month and I hope to keep up with my monthly postings.
Until next time,
Jeff, Heather, Jayden and Micah
