Autumn has arrived and we can not believe how beautiful the colors are. As we were biking around town, to see some of the trees were breath taking. There were trees that looked on fire for how vivid the colors were. It just takes your breath away seeing what nature can paint for us.
The school year is well on its way and we are getting back into the familiar grove. Jayden is loving first grade and is getting ever so smart. The computer lab is new for him this year so that is one of the highlights so far. If you ask Jayden, he'd tell you that Recess is his favorite still.
We did not go on too many adventures this past month, but we did focus on one very cool thing...take a peak!!!
Jayden learned how to ride his bike without training wheels!!!! Great thing to celebrate. We actually have been going on many bike rides around the neighborhood. This Tuesday we decided to ride our bikes to Bob and Sheri's house (Jeff's parents). It is probably about 2 miles or so away and we all made it in one piece. It really is a great time together on our bike adventures!!!!
This pictures in a little late, but I had to add it. This is group of us girls from high school (left to right: Jenny, Me, Sarah and Stephanie) and all our little ones. We used to all pile in one of our cars and spend the day at the beach together and eat ice cream in the summers during high school. Jenny came into town (she lives in Maryland) so we had a little reunion at Memorial Park. It sure was great to see everyone and meet some of the "new" kids. Definitely need to do it again!!!! Thanks Jenny for the pic!!!
We had one last adventure out fishing before the weather got too cold. Jayden and Jeff caught the most (many pan fish, but small ones) and Jeff caught the biggest; a northern. It was nice to spend that time together. After we got home, it was time for a sleep over with Beck (the neighbor).
Here is Jayden hard at work raking the little leaves we had at the time and filling our new wheel barrow. I think he likes it more than
any of his toys for outside. Great to see that the
simple things in life bring the greatest joys.
The end result...many leave,
but not enough for a pile to jump in.
Gabbi came over to play and I just had to get the camera out.
She is such a beautiful girl and so easy to capture a good shot!!!
What does Jayden, Beck and Alex (the two neighbor boys) do every morning before school??? That's right, go down the fireman pole.
It is endless until the bell rings. Wonder if they will do this
every morning until the end of the year?
Sorry for the short post, hope you enjoy it though. I'm sure we will have more to share next month. Until next time, enjoy the fall temperatures and the beautiful colors around us.
Love,
Jeff, Heather and Jayden
